Ep 11: The Battle of the High Pass
The geekiest fellowship of all time is trapped in the High Pass of the Misty Mountains. They've found the lost caravan but now share in its fate.
Night is falling all around them, and there are precious minutes to prepare for battle. Orcs, goblins, and who knows what else, lurk out in the dark, waiting for their moment to charge. Our heroes will need to prove their battle prowess to survive the night.
To make matters worse, their only help comes in the form of a terrified Hobbit, a group of teenagers from Bree, and an injured Beorning.
A great orc with the title “The Dread of the Pass” has his soldiers surrounding the small defensive ring the group has formed. Wolves lurk out in the night somewhere, ready to catch anyone who dares flee.
So, all in all, it doesn't look good y'all.
Can the group last the night?

This episode has been a long time coming. We are so excited to finally release it and let everyone experience the blast we had playing through this fight.
One of the greatest aspects of The One Ring RPG is how dangerous every battle feels. A few unlucky rolls against the players, and down they go.
A bad heal check and that double wound doesn't get any better–and the character dies.
Or a bad enough blow in battle leads to the loss of all endurance and a 2nd wound at the same time. Instant death.
With those kinds of stakes constantly at play in The One Ring RPG, every battle needs to be taken seriously.
On the flip side, a few lucky rolls can turn even the grimmest situations in the heroes favor.
It really is a “what the hell is going to happen?” situation.
And episode 11 of The Party Business Podcast, The Battle of the High Pass, is no different.
Will any of the heroes make it? What happens if they fail?
Only one way to find out!
